South West London and St George’s NHS Mental Health Trust (SWLSTG) has launched a Carer, Family and Friends Experience Feedback Form to measure how well it is delivering services to carers, families and friends and to identify areas for further development.
The Trust would like to know whether they identified your role early, informed you about what was happening and kept you informed, involved you in ways that were helpful and welcome, and provided you with suitable support, either directly or through referral/signposting to other sources of support.
SWLSTG works together with local carer support services to deliver the Triangle of Care, a national initiative, led by The Carers Trust, which is designed to improve the experiences of carers, families and friends within mental health services.
Kim Willson, Project Co-ordinator for Carers in Mind welcomes this new development. She said: “I am delighted SWLSTG are now going to be able to formally gather our carers' views across our local mental health services in Richmond to see how well we are doing and to identify where to focus on improving joint working with carers as expert partners in care - this is a great start to the New Year.”
If you are a carer, family member or a friend of someone current using (or who has recently used) SWLSTG services, please complete the form to give your views on how well the Trust worked with you. Please ask your care co-ordinator for a copy of the form.
