Richmond Borough Mind

A massive well done and thank you to our runners in the London Marathon

A massive well done and thank you to our runners that took part in the London Marathon on 23rd April. Between them Hannah and Andrew raised almost 5,700 for RB Mind. This is an absolutely incredible amount and will make such a difference to funding our vital services.

This year the chosen charity for the London Marathon was Heads Together, a new campaign spearheaded by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry to raise awareness of mental health and end the stigma surrounding it. It is the first time any kind of mental health charity has been chosen as the charity partner for the marathon so it was an exciting time for RB Mind to be involved.

Hannah works as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner and previously came first in the Richmond Half Marathon when running for RB Mind. Andrew has heard of RB Mind through his work with the LLoyds Banking Groups Charitable Foundations where he has been working to support RB Mind.

Both finished with impressive times - Andrew in just under 5 hours and Hannah in 3 hours 31 minutes.

Thank you once again to both our runners and to anyone that donated to their fundraising pages.
