New research from Mind highlights how little training GPs and practice nurses are being offered in mental health. In England only 46% of GPs undertook a training placement in a mental health setting and 42% of practice nurses have no mental health training at all. Despite the fact that one third of GP appointments are mental health related.

Our Peer Group Network is holding an art exhibition on Wednesday, 12 October, 2-4pm, at the Vineyard Community Centre. Our Crafty Minds and Creative Mindís artwork will be on display.
World Mental Health Day is taking place on 10 October and as it falls within a week of National Poetry Day, Richmond Borough Mind has decided to take advantage of this happy coincidence to showcase a selection of poems by our service users on our social media.
There will be a special weekend Art and Music Fundraiser on 15 and 16 October for RB Mind at All Saints Church, East Sheen Avenue.
