RBMind mourns passing of Wendy Valentine
Mon 22nd February 2010
We are sorry to announce the death of Wendy Valentine, a long term friend of mental health in the borough. In 1985 Wendy became manager of Centre 32, and the first employee of Twickenham Mind, and held the post for several years.
When she retired, she readily agreed to a new role as a trustee, and played a very valuable role in the group in that capacity. Fund raising and catering were just two of the areas in which she involved herself.
After the merger with Richmond and Barnes Mind, she was supportive of Richmond Borough Mind as a whole. She continued to take minutes of Twickenham area meetings and did so for the Ham Friends group for a while.
She was greatly regarded by clients, trustees and volunteers, and will be sadly missed.
Kath Raven
Former Treasurer Twickenham/RBMind
