Crisis Support
Richmond Borough Mind does not offer any crisis support services, however we aim to provide you with the information you will need in order to access the appropriate support as or when you need it. There are other providers in the borough that will be able to assist if you are currently experiencing a crisis.

What is a crisis?
The term 'mental heatlh crisis' means that a person is in a mental or emotional state where they need urgent help. Mental health crises may take the following forms:
- suicidal behaviour or intention
- panic attacks/extreme anxiety
- psychotic episodes (loss of sense of reality, hallucinations, hearing voices)
- other behaviour that seems out of control or irrational and is likely to endanger the self or others
What are Crises services?
A crisis service is any service that is available at short notice to help a person to resolve a mental health crisis, or to support them while is is happening. These services can range from telephone helplines and home treatment (CRHT) temas and hospital acute wards.
