Carers in Mind aims to promote the voice of Mental Health Carers by empowering and supporting them in becoming involved in improving services. There are currently major changes in the way health and social care services are delivered and it is important for local services to listen to your views.
There are many different ways that you could become involved and this will depend on how much you want to do and how confident you are. These are a few examples:
We attend a range of strategic meetings where we represent the views of local Carers, let us know what you think and we can work to get your views heard. See the 2007-2010 Richmond Upon Thames Carers Strategy
here.
We are currently working in partnership with South West London and St George’s Trust who are in the early stages of forming their own Carers Strategy. If you would like to become involved or be kept informed on progress, please let Kim know.
If you would like more information on how you can become involved in improving services for Carers please contact Kim on 020 8940 7384 or email carers@rbmind.com.
