Time Bank Bulletin & Vacancies

Earn Credits

Our most urgent needs at the moment are for three weekly vacancies:

  • Our Social Centre needs someone who can cook once a week only, either on Tuesday or Thursday mornings.
  • RB Mind’s counselling service needs a receptionist on Tuesday evenings.  The work involves only 4 hours a week, which are paid in time credits.
  • One of our centres would like someone to run an art workshop – you don’t need to be a great artist but a temperament to work with challenging behaviour is essential!

Other ways to give time:

  • Help someone learn Spanish.
  • We continue to need someone to help the organisation sell stuff on Ebay.
  • This month we have a high demand for people to paint home interior walls.
  • RB Mind needs someone who can fix bicycles.
  • If you are looking for an excuse to get out and get some exercise, you can earn time credits whilst you’re at it by delivering community newsletters around Mortlake residences. Make it more fun by bringing a friend who can also earn credits for themselves.
  • The Time Banking network is looking for people in London willing to carry out genealogy research at the national archives.
  • There is a current demand for Tai Chi classes amongst our members, so we need a teacher!
  • If you have achieved a high level in chess, there is a member who would like to further their knowledge.
  • A youth club in Mortlake is looking for helpers to support the running of activities such as football.

Remember you can always earn a credit by referring a friend!

Donations For Richmond Mind

RB Mind is happy to take off your hands any old mobiles which could be recycled, bikes we can fix and if anyone happened to have an old laptop to give away we’d also be very grateful!

Our Director Emma King is taking part in the London Triathlon for RB Mind on 2nd August 2009 and is hoping to raise £2,000 for our work in Richmond.  If you would like to sponsor Emma, who has never done a Triathlon before and is undertaking the Olympic distances, go to www.justgiving.com/triformind external link

As always, travel expenses for time banking activities can be covered and we love feedback, so please get in touch with any comments or ideas for your time bank.

Please just email richmondtimebank@rbmind.org or call Elaine on 07545 933 156 if you have any interest in the above.
