Carers in Mind aims to promote the voice of mental health carers by empowering and supporting them in becoming involved in improving services.
There are often changes in the way health and social care services are delivered and it is important for local commissioners and service providers to listen to your views. We aim to ensure you are given opportunities to be involved in local changes that are relevant to you.
We attend a range of strategic meetings where we represent the views of local mental health carers, let us know what you think and we can work to get your views heard.
Through our newsletter and email bulletins we also give information on national strategies that are open to consultation and where mental health carers' views are essential.
We have an annual conference during Carers Week for local mental health carers and this is another opportunity for providers and commissioners to hear your views.
If you would like more information on how you can become involved in improving services please contact 020 8940 7384 or email email@example.com
We work closely with the South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust (SWLSTG) who provide secondary mental health services in Richmond. The SWLSTG Carers, Families and Friends Reference Group would like more Richmond mental health carers as members. Please contact us for more information on what would be involved.
If you would like to give any feedback, positive and/or negative, on services provided by SWLSTG you can comment on their Patient Opinion website.
Healthwatch Richmond is all about local voices being able to influence the delivery and design of local services; whether it's improving them today or helping to shape them for tomorrow.
They produce regular bulletins and updates for local residents and they gather feedback on local services. More information on their services can be found here.
