Volunteer Complementary Therapists

RB Mind runs a project, Carers in Mind, which offers support services to carers, families and friends who are supporting adults with mental health problems. Volunteers trained in a variety of complementary therapies are needed to deliver treatments as part of a range of services to help carers reduce their levels of stress and to promote their own wellbeing.

RB Mind's Wellbeing Centre also hosts volunteers trained in a variety of complementary therapies who deliver treatments to the centre's Service Users (who are adults experiencing mental health problems).  Participation in therapies assists our Service Users by reducing their levels of stress and helping to promote their own wellbeing.  Please scroll to the bottom of this page and click on the link to see a full role description for the Volunteer Complementary Therapist (Wellbeing Centre) role.

Please bear in mind that due to confidentiality we ask our Volunteer Complementary Therapists to volunteer with either our Carers Project or our Wellbeing Centre.  It is helpful for Complementary Therapists interested in volunteering with RB Mind to consider in advance which client group they would prefer to volunteer with.

Counselling and Psychotherapy Volunteers

If you are currently training in Counselling, Psychotherapy or Clinical Psychology and are looking for a clinical placement as a Volunteer Counsellor or Psychotherapist, please see our Counselling and Psychotherapy webpage for details of how to apply.

Trustees / Advisers

Our Trustees are volunteers with a variety of skills and abilities. Some have been carers or users of mental health services previously and all our Trustees contribute to making RB MIND one of the key providers of mental health services in the borough. They do this in their own free time. Hence, one of the most valuable contributions that you could make is to get involved as either a Trustee or an Advisor. Think you can rise to the challenge? If you do, then please contact our Chief Executive, Val Farmer on val.farmer@rbmind.org.
