Mind 'n' Mortlake Overview

Mind ’n’ Mortlake provides activities and services to support mental well-being and an opportunity for people to meet and socialise at Barnes Childrens Centre. Hanson Close, off Lower Richmond Road, SW14 7HJ, on Wednesdays 12.30-2.30pm and Fridays 12.30-3pm.

Our friendly team assists service users to identify their needs, aspirations and goals with a view of supporting them in the community. Activities and events vary, from music appreciation, personal care workshops, assertiveness training, creative writing and one-to-one support. We now also offer personal development activities that take place every Wednesday. On Friday there is an Art Group and the Peer Group Musical Minds.

Mind in Mortlake has been described by our service users as a place of “great escape” where they can “carry on laughing”. The aim behind the social, educational and recreational activities is to assist those with a lack of support, low self-esteem and confidence, helping them make steps towards their goals.
