Next week is Volunteers Week 2020 – the UK’s biggest annual celebration of volunteering. We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge “Thank You” to all our volunteers without whom we could not deliver the range of services and projects we do. Throughout the week we will be showcasing stories from our volunteers on our social networks highlighting the many ways in which they contribute to the work of our charity. From our Counselling service to our Peer Group Network and from our Volunteer Youth Wellbeing Trainers to our Trustees, volunteering is part of the very fabric of what we do.

For Mental Health Awareness Week, we have created a special kindness-themed issue of our Mindful Memo in which we take a look at how being kind to others and to ourselves is good for our mental and physical health.
We also consider how kindness under lockdown is pervading all aspects of our collective lives from the world of work to the environmental campaign and as a result how society could be re-shaped with kindness at its heart.
Next week is Mental Health Awareness Week 2020. The theme this year is Kindness. During the week, Richmond Borough Mind will be running a range of workshops around this theme, focusing on being kind to others and kind to ourselves. There will be sessions on Mindfulness, Self-Compassion for Carers, Art, Yoga, Dance and Meditation. You can find a timetable of all the events here. If you would like to attend a workshop please sign up to Eventbrite or email [email protected]
