Peer Services Co-ordinator
Salary: circa £25,000 per annum (pro rata), 30 hours per week
Our peer led services provide individuals with a unique opportunity to offer and receive support in order to improve the quality of their own, and others’, lives. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and lead these services for RBMind. Your role will be to coordinate and support our dynamic and exciting team of peer volunteers (who all have their own lived experience of mental health issues) to increase the wellbeing and resilience of our members through providing a programme of group support and activities. Currently our Peer Group Network provides a diverse range of group led peer activities, however, we aim to expand our outreach over the coming year to include alternative peer led interventions for one to one support and peer navigation.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about motivating and coaching individuals with mental health issues, and with an understanding of how the recovery approach can support both volunteers and members on their journey to recovery. Your role will be to coordinate all elements of RBMind’s peer led services and provide leadership and direction to the peer volunteer team, whilst building capacity through successful outreach and strategic development of the service. As well as having an empathy with the core values of RB Mind, the successful applicant will have experience of supporting volunteers, facilitating groups, and an awareness of the boundaries we work within when supporting vulnerable adults. The applicant will be enthusiastic and self-motivated, and must be able to work on their own initiative.
Richmond Borough Mind values diversity and difference. We welcome applicants from all sections of the community, particularly individuals with lived experience of mental health problems.
