Volunteering Services Manager

Salary: £28,000 per annum (pro rata) + On-Call Payments

Hours: 30 hours per week

Location: 32 Hampton Road, Twickenham, TW2 5QB and/or UK House and/or Working From Home and other community venues in the London Borough of Richmond as required

At RBMind we place a huge value on our volunteers and greatly appreciate the dedication and enthusiasm that they bring to our organisation. Our services benefit from around 150 volunteers a year, collectively providing thousands of volunteering hours, and significantly increasing the outreach and support that we are able to offer.  We also provide invaluable opportunities for individuals with lived experience of mental health conditions to gain skills supporting others, which often forms a huge part of their own recovery journeys.

This is your opportunity to lead these services for RBMind, and to continue to develop and expand our volunteering and peer led opportunities to support our clients, our volunteers and our organisation. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting volunteers, and will encourage individuals to develop their confidence, skills, and personal development. You will need to be skilled in motivating and coaching individuals with mental health issues, and have an understanding of how the recovery approach can support individuals on their recovery journey through volunteering.

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and a good role model for our volunteers and members.  You will be experienced in delivering volunteer led services, and able to guide our teams in delivering effective volunteer led support.  You will also need to have clear project management skills to support our range of peer led interventions moving forwards.
