Our Autumn fundraising events

Mindful Monday

Once again Richmond Borough Mind is celebrating Mindful Monday, part of #BeActive Great British Week of Sport.  This year we will be hosting an online yoga session with Hampton based yogi, Nina Airey of Yogagrown on Monday 21st of September.  Throughout the pandemic Nina has been teaching ‘slow down corona yoga,’ helping many people alleviate feelings of isolation and anxiety.  Whatever the weather and lockdown situation in the coming months, yoga is a wonderful practice to do at home, it’s positive impact on our physical and mental wellbeing is widely known.

This event is not to be missed!  Whether you participate in classes regularly or fancy giving yoga a go, it’s completely free for everybody.  Supporting resources will be available for those who are not able to join the class online.

Booking for the event is not open yet, please see rbmind.org and our social media for more details.  If you’d like to register your interest for Mindful Monday yoga please email [email protected]

Richmond Marathon Walk

Covid-19 and its impact can be felt everywhere, on our wellbeing, the economic climate and every aspect of charity fundraising.  To help ensure the funds are available to meet local needs Richmond Borough Mind has teamed up with Richmond Citizens Advice Bureau, Ruils and Richmond Aid to organise a joint fundraising event.  We are proud to be taking part in the ‘Richmond Marathon Walk’.  On Saturday 20th October 2020 a team of Richmond Borough Mind employees, and teams from other participating charities, will be walking along the Thames from the London Eye to Hampton Court Palace, a route that will take us through the heart of borough.

Our team of walkers have aspirations of smashing a £5,000 fundraising target and a gruelling training plan to follow in preparation.  Our fundraising page will be launched soon.  We’d appreciate all the support you can give the team, donations, sharing news of the event, or a wave and a cheer on the day – they will be unmissable in bright yellow Richmond Borough Mind T-shirts!

Due to government restrictions we have been unable to turn the Richmond Marathon Walk into a mass participation event, fingers crossed that next year we will be able to invite more of our supporters to join in.
