Service Users’ Poems on Film
Richmond Borough Mind celebrated World Mental Health Day in 2016 by showcasing a selection of poems by our service users on our Facebook and Twitter accounts.
Members of our Wellbeing Centre, Peer Network Group and Carers in Mind project contributed poems on the theme of ‘messages’, the theme of that year’s National Poetry Day which by happy coincidence fell within a week of World Mental Health Day. We then filmed readings of the poems: some read by our service users, others on their behalf including one recited by Sir Trevor McDonald.
Thanks to all our volunteers who shared their time, their skills and their enthusiasm to make this happen.
