This virtual fundraising challenge is now complete but please come back soon for details of future challenges.
This May, we are inviting you to take part in the 100 Miles in May Challenge. As well as raising vital funds, this virtual challenge is a great opportunity to experience some of the wellbeing benefits that movement can bring.
Getting active, spending time outdoors, and taking a break in nature can all have a positive impact on our mental health – helping to reduce stress, boost mood, clear the mind, and improve energy levels. Over the course of May, you should aim to walk or run 100 miles. You can choose to take part individually or as part of a team of up to 4 members, with a shared goal of 400 miles. Taking part as a team gives us the chance to connect with friends and family, encourage one another, and build a sense of shared achievement along the way.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, giving us the perfect opportunity to come together to make positive changes. The theme for 2026 is Action, emphasising the importance of taking tangible steps that improve mental health for individuals, workplaces and communities. With your help, we can continue building resilient, compassionate, community-based services that help people recover, stay well and thrive.
All you need to do is log the miles you walk or run throughout May, manually or via a free Strava account. Whether you walk at lunchtime, run before work, get outside at the weekend, or complete your miles with friends or colleagues, every step matters. Whether that is three miles every day or further every few days make this challenge yours!
To register, click on the ‘Sign up now’ button and complete the registration form. Enthuse will automatically set up a fundraising page for you – we would love you to raise sponsorship using the Enthuse platform, but this is not compulsory.
However you choose to take part, this is a chance to do something positive for your own wellbeing while helping us continue our important work. Join us for 100 Miles in May today to boost your wellbeing this spring and raise money for better mental health.
Why should I get involved?
How do I fundraise?
By filling in the registration form (it takes less than 2 mins), your fundraising page will be created. Share your page with your family, friends, and colleagues and ask them to support your efforts and donate to the cause. We’ll be on hand to offer helpful tips and support with your fundraising efforts throughout the challenge.
Is there a minimum fundraising amount or do I have to pay to take part?
No, there’s no minimum fundraising amount and taking part in the challenge is absolutely free. All that we ask is that you raise as much as you can, and every pound you raise will go towards providing services and support to anyone experiencing a mental health problem.
How should I track my miles?
It’s completely up to you! You can use a smartphone app of your choice (you can link Strava directly to your fundraising page), you can track your activity using our 100 miles in March mile digital tracker or we can send you a free pedometer. To request either of these, please email fundraising@rbmind.org
How do I prove I've completed my 100 Miles in May Challenge?
There’s no need for you to prove to us that you completed your 100 miles in March challenge, but we’d love to hear your updates and how you’re getting on by posting on your social media and tagging #RBMind, or comment on our socials.
