If you would like to join a group where you can connect with people through therapeutic cooking, the Positive Living Group gives you the opportunity to socialise and enjoy great food with others.
Join us beforehand for some light exercise as we explore how movement and relaxation can help you look after yourself when you feel stressed and worried.
Our members learn how food impacts on their mental health, and how to source and prepare tasty, nutritious, mood boosting meals. We also help members take steps towards achieving their goals.
The movement and relaxation group is suitable for all abilities, please wear loose comfortable clothing. From breathing exercises to yoga, learn techniques to help you take control of your mental wellbeing whilst you work up an appetite!
The Positive Living Group takes place on Wednesday 11.30am – 2.30pm
Movement and relaxation 11.30am – 12.30pm
Communal cooking 12.30pm – 2.30pm
Address: Barnes Methodist Church, Station Road, Barnes, London, SW13 0NH
Every third Wednesday of the month we do gardening or go on a trip.
Fun runs, cake sales, school mufti days, shopping online – there are so many ways to help raise vital funds. Our fundraisers fly the flag for mental health, helping to break down stigma.
Volunteering is a great way to make use of your skills, give back to your community and gain valuable experience whilst meeting new people and having fun.
If you are in emotional need and looking for a safe confidential space to explore your psychological difficulties, we are here for you. We welcome people with a whole range of issues, including complex needs and severe mental illness.
