Hello everyone,
On Friday 17th October, Val Farmer and Murray Cook are taking fundraising to brand-new heights—literally! The two of us are strapping in to zipline from the very top tier of the legendary Allianz Stadium, Twickenham, gliding over the pitch where rugby greats have made history.
Now, let’s be honest—one of us (Murray) can’t wait for the adrenaline rush. The other (Val) is currently questioning every life choice that led to this moment and reaching for a crash helmet. But here’s the thing: we’re both doing it because Richmond Mind is worth every shaky knee and white-knuckled grip.
Richmond Mind ensures anyone with a mental health problem has somewhere to turn to for support. Every pound you donate brings real change—while also giving Val the courage to take that leap!
As CEO and Trustee, we are acutely aware of how tough things are in the charity sector right now. After years of austerity, the cost-of-living crisis and the post-pandemic aftermath, it is essential that we roll our sleeves up and join in the fundraising effort. This really will make a difference to the sustainability of our services.
So please, cheer us on by donating today. Whether it’s £5, £20, or whatever you can spare, your support will turn a terrifying (for one of us!) flight across Twickenham into a lasting impact.
Thank you for helping us transform a moment of pure fear—and pure fun—into something extraordinary.
Wish us luck…and maybe a gentle tailwind!”
