Is this service for me?
The Journey Recovery Hub Crisis Café (JRH) is a support service for adults living in South West London, particularly for those from Richmond and Kingston who are experiencing a mental health crisis, or feel they may be nearing one.
We are here for you every day of the year, including Christmas and New Year’s.

What Do We Mean by a Mental Health Crisis?
A mental health crisis can look different for everyone. You may benefit from support if you are:
- Thinking about suicide or having suicidal thoughts
- Experiencing psychosis (seeing, hearing, or believing things others may not)
- Feeling at risk of harming yourself or others
- Overwhelmed and unable to cope safely
If this sounds like you, reaching out for support can make a massive difference.
What Can I Expect?
Our Journey Recovery Hubs provide out-of-hours mental health crisis support, group workshops, and a safe and welcoming space.
We aim to help you:
- Reduce immediate crisis and feel safer
- Create a personalised safety plan
- Prevent escalation of mental health difficulties
- Feel less isolated and more connected
- Build confidence, independence, and coping skills
- Improve your overall wellbeing
We focus on your strengths, resilience, and ability to manage your mental health with the right support.

Who we support
Our service provides mental health crisis support for:
- Adults (18+) living in Richmond and Kingston (in South West London).
If you live outside these areas, we can still offer brief support and help signpost you to appropriate local mental health services.

We aim to provide safe and effective care for everyone. However, this service is not suitable for:
- Adults living with dementia
- Children and young people (under 18)
- Individuals displaying violent or aggressive behaviour

If you fall into one of these groups, we can help guide you towards specialist services that are better suited to your needs.
