ARC — Active Resilience in the Community
Mental health and wellbeing support for adults in Richmond
Formerly known as the Wellbeing Centre.
The ARC provides short-term emotional wellbeing support for Richmond residents, helping people build resilience, improve their wellbeing and access support before their needs escalate.
Support may include:
- Building confidence, resilience and self-management skills.
- Support to manage stress, anxiety, low mood and other emotional wellbeing challenges.
- Personalised wellbeing planning and goal setting.
- Reducing social isolation and improving community connections.
- Signposting and referrals to other services where appropriate.
- Practical support to promote independence and wellbeing.
How ARC can support you
Everyone’s journey is different. We will work with you to understand what matters to you and agree the type of support that may be most helpful.
- One-to-one support: work with a dedicated member of the ARC team on what issues are important to you, staff can meet with you at home, in the community, on the phone or virtually
- Group Wellbeing Activities: connect with others, learn practical skills and build confidence.
- Outreach support: including visits to people’s homes where appropriate.
- Community Based Support: you can choose one-to-one support, group sessions or a combination. We will decide together what feels right for you.
The service also provides referral, assessment, triage and support planning to ensure residents receive the right support at the right time.
Do you need urgent help?
ARC is open Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, and is not an emergency or crisis service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, use the emergency and out-of-hours Crisis Café – Journey Recovery Hub
