Since 1st October 2026, Richmond Borough Mind has started delivering the Wandsworth Mental Health Floating Support Service.
Support is strengths-based and recovery-focused, meaning we work alongside you to identify your goals, build on what is already working well, and help you develop the tools and support networks needed to move forward.
Most people receive support for around 4 to 6 months, giving them the opportunity to make meaningful progress towards their goals while reducing need for ongoing support. Our approach is practical, outcome-focused and designed to empower people to live well, stay connected and thrive in their community.

How to make a referral
Most referrals to Wandsworth Mental Health Floating Support come through Adult Social Care. If you work in Adult Social Care, please continue to refer using your own referral process.
If you are a professional from another service, such as a GP, community mental health team, hospital ward, voluntary organisation or housing provider, please complete our WFS Professional Referral Form and email it to: floatingsupport@rbmind.org
If you have used the service before, you may be able to refer yourself again. Please email us at the same address to talk through your circumstances.
Once we receive a referral, we will acknowledge it within 72 hours. We will then confirm the outcome, including whether the service is the right fit and any next steps, within 3 to 7 days.
To help us respond quickly, please include as much detail as you can about the person’s support needs, any known risks and whether they know about and agree to the referral. If someone is in crisis or at immediate risk, please do not use this form. Contact emergency services or the local crisis line.
