Is this service for me?
If your mental health makes you feel lonely or isolated, or if you’d like someone to encourage and support you to reach your goals, you may benefit from connecting with a befriender.
Whether you are going through an issue that you feel is hard to talk to those around you, or just want a chat, befriending can help.
What can I expect?
You’ll be matched with a trained volunteer befriender who will support you over the phone, weekly for 6-8 weeks. The calls will give you the chance to receive emotional support, or just have a regular chat. Often this is a great way to explore other support available.
All of our befrienders have lived experience of mental health issues and are here to listen and offer non-judgemental support.
